Good morning. I interpreted your question two different ways. First, as I remember, the tram tours leave from inside the building, that is once you have entered based on your timed entry. So, if you're thinking that they are two separate entities with two different entry points, then the timed entry obviously is the only concern. Second, if however, you are asking if you should take one of the tram rides immediately after entering the building, then the answer is yes. The lines grow very long, very quickly; so, get your tram rides done and then come back and enjoy the main building. Because you are thinking about taking the tram rides, I would suggest giving yourself about 4 hours to enjoy this wonderful place. Hope this helps. They typically have a timed opening. If you wait to buy them at the gate you could end up getting stuck waiting to enter. Buying them online is easy and you can pick when you want to enter. We bought ours a couple of nights in advance and some of the time slots were already sold out.
