Britain's head of state King Charles III turns 76 on Thursday, still in the grip of cancer treatment but with his passion for work undimmed by what his son and heir Prince William called a "brutal" year.

King Charles III marked his 76th birthday on Thursday by opening two new food distribution hubs - one in person and the other virtually.

King Charles, the son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, hosted multiple celebrations and received well-wishes from Prince William and more.

It’s a working birthday for King Charles III, who turns 76 today (14 November). The monarch is celebrating by opening two hubs, which will distribute surplus food to banks, schools and community centres.
