Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) was let off the hook by Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman when it was announced that the years-long domestic violence and sexual assault investigation involving the shock rocker was dropped.

Marilyn Manson will not be charged for domestic violence or sexual assault in Los Angeles, prosecutors announced on January 24. New District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a press release that the decision came at the conclusion of a “comprehensive four-year investigation” into the shock-rocker,

"I know the truth of what happened to me," she wrote. "It sits deeply rooted in my belly, unshakable, mine. No one and nothing can take that away"

But despite the District Attorney’s decision disappointing Warner’s accusers, Wood posted a message of pride. In a private Instagram post published by People, Wood said she was “endlessly proud” of the dozen or so survivors who went public against Warner and expressed dismay toward a legal system that gives violent crimes an “expiration date.
