By Kantaro Komiya TOKYO (Reuters) -Japanese company ispace said its uncrewed moon lander likely crashed onto the lunar surface during its touchdown attempt on Friday, marking another failure two years after an unsuccessful inaugural mission.

Resilience, a lander built by Japanese-based company Ispace, lost contact with mission control during its attempt to land on the moon.

The uncrewed ispace Resilience moon lander is scheduled to touch down on the moon at 3:17 EDT on Thursday, but the landing time would change if its landing location does, too.
