Months after his mistaken deportation to El Salvador, Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the United States — to face criminal charges. However, the 29-year-old who lived in Prince George's County isn't returning to Maryland.

The Maryland man, whose erroneous deportation to El Salvador became a protracted battle over due process and a test of wills, will face human smuggling charges in Tennessee.
