With yellow weather warnings for snow and ice slated to hit parts of the UK today, Brits are being urged to keep their homes warm and follow these simple steps if they spot a frozen pipe in their home

The Met Office in Ronaldsway is predicting a good flurry of snow on higher ground although it may turn to sleet or rain lower down. There will be highs of just 3C.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice and snow covering the majority of England and Wales, which will be in force between 12pm on Saturday and 11.59pm on Sunday. According to the warning, "some significant accumulations" of snow are possible across Wales, the Midlands and northern England.
