Michigan State football lost wide receiver Antonio Gates Jr. to the transfer portal, when the former four star recruit decided to leave East Lansing after two years with the program. Following the decision,

Jordon Simmons was a member of Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class, the last of Mark Dantonio’s tenure, but was retained when Mel Tucker got to campus. Simmons then spent the next four seasons in East Lansing, before transferring to Akron for this past season. The former Spartan is now in the transfer portal once again.

Michigan State currently is set to bring in 12 transfers via the portal. The Spartans filled key needs with players of quality who were productive at their prior schools.
