The National Weather Service has confirmed nine tornadoes, mostly in mid-Michigan, amid Sunday's weather. One more report in Branch County is still under investigation. All of them were rated EF-1 or EF-0. The confirmed list includes a small tornado, rated EF-O, that hit along Wabash Road near Milan in Monroe County

The National Weather Service on Thursday confirmed another tornado touched down in Kent County as severe weather swept through the area Sunday, bringing the statewide total from the storm system to 10.

Five tornadoes touched down Sunday in Cass, Ingham, Kent, and Newaygo counties, the National Weather Service confirmed. The first one, an EF1, started at about 4:52 p.m. in Edwardsburg in Cass County, officials with the weather service's Northern Indiana office said.

Two people were killed in Tennessee, officials said, and millions of people were under severe weather advisories and more than 300,000 customers had lost power.
