Mika brought on Bhatt's entire team to ensure the project was executed smoothly and initially planned to cast Karan Singh Grover alongside a newcomer to maintain the budget.

The singer added, “They were giving excuses that they have sore throat and other things. I couldn’t understand the drama, especially when they were paid for their work.”
