"It's unsettling. It's unfortunate. It was scary," Rep. Greg Landsman said, speaking Tuesday after it was reported his name was included on notes from the suspect accused of killing a Minnesota lawmaker and injuring another.
Landsman’s office said Capitol Police contacted the lawmaker on Sunday, letting him know that the FBI found his name on evidence collected while searching for Vance Boelter.
Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were targeted in shootings at their homes, causing concern and prompting a statement of solidarity from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. The motives are unclear and investigations are ongoing.
Ohio is upping security for state lawmakers after the targeted shooting of two Minnesota legislators over the weekend. Anna Staver reports that Senate leadership is offering extra home patrols to those who want it.
