The Heisman Trophy will be presented to the nation’s best college football player for the 91st time on Saturday night.

The 2026 SEC football schedule will be released on Dec. 11 via the SEC Network and ESPN. The 2026 season will be the first year of the nine-game conference schedule format with rotating opponents, in which each team will play at each SEC team at least once over a four-year period.

The conference is better off with one division, which has led to better matchups even if it means minor headaches.

Trautwein is a Florida graduate who was a two-time all-SEC selection with the Gators and won two SEC and national titles with them in 2006 and 2008. He spent the last six seasons with the Nittany Lions after joining them from Boston College, where he spent two seasons as the offensive line coach.

The 2026 football schedule for all SEC schools was unveiled on Thursday night. The conference's top teams continued to excel this season, as Alabama, Georgia Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M nearly made up half of the 2025-26 College Football Playoff field.
