The bill Trump signed, the bipartisan Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, cleared Congress last fall. The Department of Agriculture said Wednesday it will rewrite Child Nutrition Programs to align with the updated guidelines and begin implementing the policy with school nutrition officials immediately.

Whole milk will be making its return to public-school cafeterias after a 10-year absence, thanks to a new bill unanimously approved by Congress late last year and signed into law on Wednesday by President Trump.

This week, President Trump signed into law the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act to restore whole milk in schools.

Milk is an integral part of children’s diet as they grow up. But debate surrounding which type of milk is best suited for kids, still remains a burning question. Many people believe toddler milk (or toddler formula/growing-up milk) is the best choice for kids.
