SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Erin became the first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic season on Friday and rapidly strengthened to a Category 5 Saturday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Almost no one will be sad to see the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season end on Nov. 30. It was remarkable because it was what could be considered a “slower” season, with fewer storms than recent years.
