There's no need to use scanner apps before you upload an important document to Drive. Google's app can do that for you on both Android and iPhone.

The company is now bringing Drive's new document scanner to the Files by Google app. As spotted by @Nail_Sadykov, a floating action button for document scanning is rolling out in Google Files.
