At least for now, the relationship between LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers may not be in an ideal place after he picked up his player option, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

Bronny James sounds prepared to spend the summer ducking rumors and concentrating on the work necessary to become a contributor during his second NBA season with the Lakers.

James said his primary goal this summer is to be in “elite” physical condition after a successful year in the G League.
