Officials don't expect Blue Mountain brush fire to spread any further, containment efforts continue
Dry conditions have made it difficult for crews to get a handle on it. Officials say the brush fire is 25% contained and that 577 acres have burned. You can still see some smoke seeping up from the bottom of the mountain. Multiple agencies have been working around the clock to contain the fire which started on Saturday.
150 acres lost in Blue Mountain brush fire
Officials with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources estimate that 150 acres have been since Saturday afternoon’s brush fire. Authorities say that number is expected to climb to over 200 acres when all is said and done.
