Chelsea will use a portion of Club World Cup bonuses paid to players to make a financial donation to the families of Diogo Jota and André Silva. The Blues emerged as unlikely winners of the US-hosted tournament back in July, defeating Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in the final with a 3-0 victory.

According to The Athletic, more than £10m was distributed among the players for winning FIFA’s inaugural expanded tournament, which works out to about $500k per. Not bad for a month’s work! Meanwhile, Chelsea’s overall take-home (before taxes and such) ended up working out to around $115m (about £80-85m). Thanks, FIFA DAZN Saudi Arabia!
