While Chicago Bulls restricted free agent Josh Giddey continues to wait for a new contract, a majority of NBA executives polled by The Athletic's Fred Katz and Joel Lorenzi believe he should be headed for a healthy payday.

The Athletic recently polled 16 NBA front office personnel to gauge Giddey’s market value. They all agreed they wouldn’t pay him more than $25 million per year. “Fourteen of the 16 participants proposed an average annual salary between $20 million and $25 million,” they wrote.

The Athletic recently polled 16 people who work in NBA front offices (including no one from Giddey’s incumbent Chicago Bulls), asking what they would deem a “fair” contract for each member of the restricted quartet: Giddey, Jonathan Kuminga, Quentin Grimes and Cam Thomas. They were granted anonymity in exchange for their candor.
