Kevin Braswell, a Baltimore-born basketballer who played for the Georgetown Hoyas before enjoying a well-traveled professional career that took him to New Zealand, has died. He was 46.

Baltimore is mourning a basketball legend, Kevin Braswell, who played for both Lake Clifton High School and Georgetown University.

American basketballer Kevin Braswell - who spent a number of years as a player and coach in New Zealand - has died aged 46. Braswell most recently coached in Japan, where he underwent emergency heart surgery last month.

Braswell, the Hoyas’ all-time leader in assists and steals, spent more than 10 years playing professionally around the world before becoming a coach.
