Liot Hill, the former mayor of Lebanon and a current Lebanon city councilor, beat Republican Kim Strathdee by about 14 percentage points, following a long line of Democrats who have held the safe seat, including Warmington, Andru Volinsky, and Colin Van Ostern. Those three have also all run unsuccessful campaigns for governor.
