The Sinaloa Cartel hacked a top US law enforcement agency and obtained classified information that was later used to intimidate sources.

Sinaloa cartel hackers broke into an FBI official's phone, using data to murder informants, the DOJ said. We're hearing from Katarina Szulc, an independent journalist in Mexico, who has reported on cartels for years.

The hacker was able to break into the agent’s phone remotely and watch their incoming and outgoing calls, and even monitor the phone’s geolocation.
