Microsoft has announced bringing the WebView2 Runtime to supported consumer versions of Windows 10. Microsoft Edge WebView2 is a special control for developers to embed web content into applications.

Microsoft has released a new SDK for WebView2, the new version of its WebView control that's powered by the new Chromium-based Edge. Like the browser itself, the SDK only works with Windows 10.

WebView 2 runs on Microsoft's new Chromium-based web browser and handles web content inside native Windows apps.
