After the New York Mets signed Juan Soto to the largest contract in MLB history, he made another deal with 25-year-old infielder Brett Baty. Soto has worn No. 22 during the entirety of his MLB career with the Yankees, Padres, and Nationals. But that number was already taken by Baty, who has played for the Mets since 2022.
Brett Baty, the 12th overall pick by the Mets in the 2019 draft, had still been driving the same 2016 Toyota 4Runner he did in high school.
