The cold case known as the "Crazy Killers of Brabant" revolves around decades-old supermarket robberies that killed 28 people in Belgium.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Belgium has asked the Netherlands and Spain to extradite two suspects in connection with an Islamist militant attack in Brussels in 2023 that killed two Swedish citizens and injured a third person.

On Thursday, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Belgium closed its airspace. No planes could take off or land, and all aircraft in Belgian airspace were asked to leave. The decision was based on a failure in the air traffic control system.

The plane with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on board was denied landing in Brussels. This is reported by local media.
