Aitana Bonmatí beat Germany's Ann-Katrin Berger with an angled shot in the 113th minute at Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich, Switzerland, to break a longstanding scoreless tie and send Spain to its first-ever UEFA Women's Euro final.

England is currently gunning for its second straight Women's Euro title, having won the 2022 tournament with another pair of extra-time wins. If Germany advances on Wednesday, it will be the same pair of teams in the final as well, but clearly nothing is going to be predictable given how some of these teams are playing.

Reigning, defending champions England needed another dramatic comeback against Italy in the Women’s EURO 2025 semifinals on Tuesday, and Michelle Agyemang delivered another late equalizer before the Lionesses won it from the penalty spot (kind of).
Aitana Bonmatí scored late in extra time for Spain to win 1-0 and avoid a penalty shootout that the Germany team had been holding out for. Germany’s Euro 2025 campaign had been full of promise, but not matched in substance.
