Paramount-owned channels are at the center of the tug-of-war, and YouTube TV customers could see offerings like Comedy Central and MTV disappear.

YouTube TV subscribers could soon lose a slate of channels — including CBS, CBS Sports, MTV, Nickelodeon and more — amid an ongoing contract dispute with Paramount.

At the heart of the disagreement is how much YouTube TV should pay for Paramount’s channels. Paramount, which owns some of the most-watched networks in the U.S., such as CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central, is seeking a better deal to reflect the value of its content.
