Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, with high humidity making it feel even hotter. Michigan residents are advised to stay hydrated, seek air-conditioned spaces, and limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.

Severe storms swept through Southeast Michigan, triggering flash flood warnings and dumping several inches of rain across the region. Roads were flooded and power outages reported, especially in Wayne and Macomb counties as heavy rain battered metro Detroit.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Michigan until 8 p.m. Thursday. Heat index values or feel-like temperatures have reached at least 100 degrees in most communities and could reach as high as 105 degrees.
