At least a half-dozen large wildfires continue to burn in the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina and North Carolina.

The first started spreading on Wednesday afternoon in Naples and the intense flames were in the backyards of many homes.

The fire was reported just after 7:20 p.m. near 138th Street and Wyandotte Street at a maintenance building belonging to Suburban Lawn and Garden.
