Bubba Wallace​ became the first Black driver to win on Indianapolis Motor Speedway's 2.5-mile oval, beating out Kyle Larson on Sunday in the Brickyard 400. The Detroit Tigers on Monday acquired Minnesota Twins right-hand pitchers Chris Paddack and Randy Dobnak in exchange for minor leaguer Enrique Jimenez.

After Bubba Wallace became the first Black driver to win on Indianapolis Motor Speedway's 2.5-mile oval, former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III responded to his feat, praising the 23XI Racing driver on X.

The Brickyard 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on July 27 at Dover Motor Speedway is under a weather delay for rain with four laps to go. Bubba Wallace held a 4-second lead over Kyle Larson before the caution flag waved for rain with six laps to go.
