Commuters are once again facing a fresh set of delays after last night's snowfall. The A555 Manchester Airport relief road, A533 Southern Expressway in Runcorn, Cheshire, and the A57 Snake Pass are among the larger routes to have been closed.

The weekend forecast for the Northeast remains highly uncertain with regards to snow. The FOX Forecast Center is tracking the winter storm that is getting set to blast parts of Texas and the South. Where it goes from there and remains uncertain at this point.

We sat on the sidelines over the last couple of days as a major winter storm sliced across the country, creating blizzard conditions through Kansas City and bringing the Nation’s Capital to a standstill with several inches of snow.

A three-day snow warning has been issued by the Met Office for much of Britain, with temperatures set to plunge for the first weekend of 2025. Around 5cm of snow is expected to fall widely across swathes of the Midlands, Wales and northern England, with as much as 20-30cm over high ground in Wales or the Pennines.

Yellow warnings for snow and ice remain in place after severe flooding and snow caused travel disruption and school closures across the UK. The Met Office said wintry weather is expected to bring icy roads and travel delays to much of west England, Wales, north and west Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
