The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday backed Rep. Debbie Mayfield in her bid to run in a special election for a Senate seat, ruling that state elections officials wrongly blocked her from appearing on the ballot.

The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled Thursday that it won't fast-track the lawsuit by a Republican Supreme Court candidate who's trying to throw out the ballots of more than 60,000 voters in his attempt to reverse the 2024 election results.
