The state of Minnesota is entering another in a long string of summer days marred by air quality alerts. Poor air quality will continue through Saturday with lingering wildfire smoke from Canada.

Every air quality monitor in Minnesota is reporting red or unhealthy conditions for everyone, an official said.

Minnesota's current air quality alert has been extended through Monday. Wildfire smoke continues to affect air quality statewide, including in the Mankato region. The level of the extended alert is expected to be in the red air quality index category,
