New York Jets star rookie offensive linesman Olu Fashanu has been placed on the injured reserve list and will miss the last two games of the season. Per NFL Insider Rich Cimini, "Jets rookie LT Olu Fashanu will go on IR with a foot injury. He has plantar fasciitis and will need surgery, per Ulbrich. Tough break for a promising young player."

The 22-year-old Fashanu, whom the Jets drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in the first round out of Penn State, has had a terrific rookie season since taking over the starting role for veteran Tyron Smith after Smith sustained a neck injury in November.
