San Francisco Giants star Rafael Devers went hitless Friday in his first game against his old team, the Boston Red Sox. Devers was, of course, traded just last Sunday from the Red Sox to the Giants as part of a five-player swap that included pitchers Kyle Harrison and Jordan Hicks and outfield prospect James Tibbs.

In his first at-bat, after a standing ovation from both Giants and Red Sox fans, Devers aggressively swung at the first pitch and (ironically) grounded out to first. Abraham Toro briefly bobbled it before recovering to flip it to Hunter Dobbins for the out.

The longtime Red Sox star went 0 for 5 in his first game against his former team, which used a three-hit night by Ceddanne Rafaela to win for the 10th time in 12 games.
