Ford had a heart attack last April after he performed at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row venue in Gilbert, Arizona, PEOPLE reported. The 54-year-old was taken to the Banner Desert Medical Center’s intensive care unit in Mesa, Arizona.

Country-rap star Colt Ford will make his triumphant return to the stage after nearly dying from a heart attack last April.

The country music singer, who had to be revived twice after a heart attack last year, took to social media to let his fans know he is ready to hit the road. “What’s up y’all, it’s your boy Colt Ford,” he said in a video he posted.

Colt Ford died twice in 2024, and doctors brought him back each time. That happened in April. He returned to the stage in September to perform next to Brantley Gilbert in Nashville. Gilbert, of course, was credited by Ford with helping to save his life after he collapsed following that show in Arizona months ago.
