ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -- One person is dead and at least five others were injured after an on-campus shooting at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Sunday morning.

One person is dead and five others were injured in a shooting Sunday morning at a college in eastern North Carolina. School officials said the shooting occurred on Sunday, April 27, at Elizabeth City State University in the center of campus.
