Kelani Jordan, Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, and Lola Vice will battle in a fatal four-way bout at NXT New Year's Evil. The winner will receive a shot at Fallon Henley and the NXT Women's North American Title. NXT GM Ava made the match official on the December 31st episode of NXT.

Oba Femi has won the gold. At WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, Trick Williams defended the NXT Championship against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe. Before the match, Thorpe was attacked backstage. He did not enter alongside Williams and Femi,
