As a new administration takes office in Washington D.C., the family of new Second Lady Usha Vance will be in the spotlight. Usha’s parents, Radhakrishna “Krish” Chilukuri and Lakshmi Chilukuri, moved from India to the U.

Vice President JD Vance is married to Usha Chilukuri Vance. Usha Chilukuri Vance was born to Indian immigrants who moved to the U.S. in the late 1970s, Reuters reported. She was raised in the suburbs of San Diego, California.

JD Vance wrote about meeting his wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, as a Yale Law School student in "Hillbilly Elegy."
