Hachiya persimmons are one of my favorite fruits this time of year! Here’s how I ripen them. You definitely want to be PATIENT and wait until the fruit is so soft it seems like it’s ready to burst at the slightest touch. Otherwise, you’ll get this really weird feeling in your mouth! By the way, this is the pointed variety, not the flat ones (fuyu persimmons).
