In June 2020, tribal members of the Hoonah Indian Association traveled to Glacier Bay to continue a centuries old traditional cultural practice. Once banned by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the Glacier Bay gull egg harvest is now cooperatively managed by the tribe and the National Park Service.
