We also have a quiet mode feature that you can use to minimize excess sound on your layout when you are not running a locomotive. Since steam engines take hours to 'start-up' we do not have a sound sequence or this that you can play, but you can use quiet mode in CV 113 to keep the steam locos that you are not using quiet. All of our steam sounds are on one decoder and all of our electric sounds are on one decoder.
