CA Dept of Fish & Wildlfie staff are hard at work spawning Chinook salmon, which are having a great hatchery return this year. It's hard, messy, important work. Trinity River Hatchery was built to mitigate for fish habitat blocked by Lewiston and Trinity Dams, while the TRRP was established to restore the habitat below the dams.
