Disgust is a protective boundary emotion. It helps the body reject what feels unsafe, violating or contaminating. When disgust is not understood or allowed, it often turns inward, showing up as self-rejection, harsh inner criticism or disordered relationships with the body. I am sharing here a somatic and relational approach to disgust: how to feel it in the body without judgment, how to restore a sense of separation and choice and how to express it as a clear boundary rather than self-attack.
