Epiphany is a Christian holiday commemorating the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. The way it is celebrated in the Russian Orthodox Church is unique and it is called ‘Крещение’ (‘Kreshchenie’), which literally translates as ‘Baptism’.
