A pod of 15 or more wild #ORCAS suddenly surrounded our boat in Baja, Mexico…so we got in the water and swam with them. Full disclosures: we had a marine biologist guide who assessed their behavior first and we were only allowed to go in with her permission. I also have a degree in animal science and veterinary background, plus a lot of experience swimming with apex predators, so I felt safe and comfortable being near them, but this is not for everyone!
