Antique/vintage furniture is made better with quality wood joints. Most of it is solid wood, to include the veneer. Furniture nowadays is mostly. Particleboard. By purchasing an antique/vintage, not only are you not purchasing an item that will just end up in the landfill in a few years, but you’re keeping another piece of furniture out of the landfill too. Antique/vintage furniture is easier to repair. You can sand and restain. Most of today’s furniture is particleboard. Really your only option
