I’m starting off my fox with a blanket stitch. I usually secure all pieces of felt with a blanket stitch as it finishes off the edges neatly and I know nothing will move. I always start and finish with a few straight stitches instead of a knot as that’s the way I was taught to sew, but you could use a knot.
